WHEN in the course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.
WE hold these Truths to be self-evident: that all of us are created equal, that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness — That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among us, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed; that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shewn, that we are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right ourselves by abolishing the Forms to which we are accustomed. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce us under absolute Despotism, it is our Right, it is our Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for our future Security. Such has been the patient Sufferance of these Citizens; and such is now the Necessity which constrains us to alter our former Systems of Government.
The History of the Present Rulers of the USA is a History of repeated Injuries and Usurpations, all having in direct Object the Establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these Citizens. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid World:
· THEY have enacted Laws that contradict the Ten Commandments, the most wholesome and necessary for the public Good since the dawn of recorded history. They have thus caused the murder of millions of innocent unborn children, and now seek to extend the practice to the aged and infirm.
· THEY have enacted Laws that contradict the Constitution and its Amendments, limiting our Rights in various ways:
1. Limiting our freedom of speech, especially during political campaigns; subordinating the Press as a Propaganda agency for one political party; eliminating our expression of Religion from all public places; and sending Union thugs and “community organizers” to assault us and limit our right of assembly and to petition our Representatives.
2. Limiting, with the goal of eliminating, our Right to keep and bear arms.
3. Quartering troops among us, in perpetuity.
4. Eliminating our Protection from unreasonable search and seizure, and invading our private communications.
5. Ignoring due process, double jeopardy, self-incrimination, and especially: Eminent Domain.
6. Empowering Trial Lawyers to subvert our rights to speedy trial, fair public trial, and competent counsel.
7. With the separate system of Tax Courts, eliminating our right to Civil trial by jury.
8. Ignoring Prohibition of excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment.
9. Continued encroachment of rights not specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
10. Repeatedly passing Federal laws that ignore and suppress the Powers of the States and their people.
· THEY have passed Laws for the Accommodation of over 50 million foreign People; who take our jobs, never learn our English language, overcrowd our schools and hospitals, and send billions of dollars outside our country annually.
· THEY have repeatedly assaulted us with police and Department of “Justice” snipers and Tanks, for opposing with manly Firmness their Invasions on the Rights of the People.
· THEY have established a permanent Bureaucracy of over 6 million, and lifetime career politicians, who routinely ignore their Oath to protect and defend the Constitution of these United States.
· THEY have obstructed the Administration of Justice, by appointing Czars, Special Prosecutors, and other extra-Constitutional means of evading accountability.
· THEY have made Judges dependent on “litmus tests” for the Tenure of their Offices, encourage judicial activism, and reject those who would interpret laws strictly in terms of their Constitutionality.
· THEY have erected a Multitude of new Bureaucracies and Offices, and sent hither Swarms of IRS agents to harass our People, and confiscate our Property.
· THEY have kept among us Standing Armies, even in Times of Peace.
· THEY have affected to render the Military independent of, and unresponsive to, the Civil Power.
· THEY have sold our military Secrets to our Enemies, for a few re-election campaign funds.
· THEY have combined with others to subject us to the Jurisdiction of the “United Nations,” foreign to our Constitution, and unacknowledged by our Laws; giving their Assent to Acts of pretended Legislation:
o FOR protecting them, with not even a mock Trial, from Punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States;
o FOR imposing “cap and trade” taxes on us without our Consent;
o FOR transporting our Military beyond Seas to be used as Mercenaries for the House of Saud, and other purposes that have no conceivable connection to the Defense of these United States.
· THEY have abdicated Government here, even after the Murder of thousands of our Citizens, by refusing to enforce our borders and defend us against further infiltration and attack.
· THEY have, through their exorbitant Taxation, driven Overseas many of our Industries, including Textiles, Manufacturing, and now Technology.
· THEY have plundered our Treasure, while enacting ever more burdensome Taxes, spending even more than they receive, indebting us and our Children to our enemies for Trillions of dollars, and thus destroying the Lives of our People.
· THEY are, at this Time, nationalizing many of our Private industries to compleat the Works of Desolation and Tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty and Perfidy, scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous Ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized Nation.
IN every stage of these Oppressions we have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble Terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated Injury. Rulers, whose Character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, are unfit to be the Rulers of a free People.
NOR have we been wanting in Attentions to our American Brethren. We have warned them from Time to Time of Attempts by the Legislature to extend an unwarrantable Jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the Constitution. We have appealed to their native Justice and Magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the Ties of our common Kindred to disavow these Usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our Connections and Correspondence. They too have been deaf to the Voice of Justice and of Consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the Necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of Mankind: Enemies in War, in Peace, Friends.
